Hello everyone,

Despite the turbulent times in France, I am taking the time to write to you from the future. Not that 2033 is any less eventful than 2023, but you are unknowingly living a pivotal moment towards another society...

The piles of garbage due to the sustained strikes of the garbage collectors in many large French cities, the inconveniences that followed, and then the legal obligation for each household to compost its bio-waste from 1 January 2024 marked a real advance in the recovery of the latter.

Today, all bio-waste is recycled in each neighbourhood, reused in urban and peri-urban agriculture and has even helped to accelerate the greening of cities!

Gone are the days when the so-called biodegradable plastic bags would destroy the efforts of all the inhabitants of a building, the law has finally banned them and citizens have managed to reuse the bags they already had.

Anyway, continue to change things on your own scale, the change in society will become more and more concrete.

Enjoy your reading,

Joséphine since 2033

Composting: one of the keys to the circular economy

Focus on composting and analysis of existing solutions

With 9 months to go before the AGEC law render bio-waste sorting at source obligatory, we invite you to (re)discover one of the key solutions of the circular economy: composting.

In this article, Isabelle Clouet, member of the Circulab community, with the help of Romain Crochet, trainer of the SCOP Les Epigées, provides us a complete analysis and helps us to see more clearly the preconceived ideas about this practice.

To raise awareness, reuse and reduce single-use plastic Circulab animated a workshop for the night clubs ecosystem in Paris on the World Water Day. The objective is to start engaging this ecosystem in the circular economy transition with concrete actions and collaborations. The Zero Plastic Club movement was started by Bye Bye Plastic, the club La Machine du Moulin and other french entities a few weeks ago. 20 French clubs have already stopped selling single-use water bottles.

💄 Training for Lancôme's design teams
To improve the design of their points of sale, Lancôme's design teams were trained for 2 days in circular design. After being introduced to systems thinking, participants took up current issues and addressed them with the Circular Canvas. The 10 participants now want to go much further.
